So you agree with the other poster that Miss St will "crush us" this year? That is what I was responding to.
Somehow Andy Cannizaro has become, on this board, the best college baseball coach ever born.
I was disappointed when he left to be HC at State, but he had the same amount of coaching experience when Mainieri hired him to be the hitting coach as Micah Gibbs did....none.
Put it another way, let's say Mainieri became Athletic Director and his first hire is to replace himself. He does so by hiring an assistant coach and that coach has only two years of coaching experience as a hitting coach and NO experience as a head coach anywhere.
Cannizaro might get it done at Miss St but just like I posted on here last year when Cohen hired him, it's a big gamble hiring someone with no head coaching experience to be head coach at an SEC school.
