Theo Walcaott did so with England, too. What's your point?

That being on the Brazilian national team at age 17 is a better path than CP was at.

Stop acting like making the English team is the same as making a world Cup winning Brazilian team.

Only a biased American would ever claim that BRONALDO wasnt on a better path at age 18 than CP.

You say it in the next sentence of the post im replying to.
Saying that Ronaldo wasn't on a really better path doesn't automatically mean that Pulisic is on a really better path.

Only a biased person would say
quote:

Ronaldo chose to join PSV after the 1994 World Cup, for which he was selected despite being just 17, but did not play. It was Romário who advised Ronaldo to start his European career at PSV; Romário being a former striker of the team from 1988 to 1993. Ronaldo scored 30 league goals in his first season

Isnt a clear better path at age 18 than what CP has done.

Looks like all 3 players got their start with their respective national teams at the age of 17.

yeah because making a world Cup winning Brazilian team is exactly the same as making a US National team or the English team.

I can't believe there is someone actually making the statement that Brazilian Ronaldo wasn't on a better path at age 18 than CP. Its mind blowing.

Youre actually claiming that CP is on the same path as a guy that won the FIFA POY award by 20 and had 2 by 21 years old.

Walcott and Pulisic can't make the Brazilian team because they are not Brazilian.

Even if everyone gave you both Ronaldo's and Messi as players who were on a better trajectory in terms of resume at their best under 19 season, you've picked 3 of what most people would say are the ten best players of all time.

That's still incredibly far from your originally stated contention that it was basically impossible based on what he's shown so far that Pulisic could at any point in his career be a top ten.

You haven't won any argument by saying he definitively won't be either Ronaldo or Messi, it's proving he won't be Cesc Fabregas or Bastian Schweinsteiger for two years

You cant really be this dense.

Its far harder to make a world Cup winning Brazilian team than the US or English team. The fact that you cant or won't take that into account is telling. I guess you're just glossing over the 30 goals in year 1 of psv.

holy shite.

Yes in the entire history of soccer there hasn't been 10 players on a better path at age 18 than CP.
Are you guys really believing that shite?

I'm still waiting on someone to link an article that says CP is on some unheard of path at age 18.

No one has said he has been on some unheard of path, there have been a handful of 18 year olds that have broken into the first team on a top flight team in a top flight league... just didn't happen to be the case for quite a few players you named.

To date, Pulisic had played in 43 official games (8 in Champions League) for Dortmund and has scored 7 goals and 9 assists in a much tougher league than the Eredivisie. Has also played in 12 games for the USMNT (6 WCQ games) and has 4 goals and 4 assists.

He can still play in quite a few more games by the end of this season.

So not even close to BRONALDO.

Hell CP may not even be the best 18 year old on his own team.

Sorry youre soccer ignorant,little guy.

Please show me all the articles saying CP is on some unheard of path at age 18. Someone that actually gets paid to comment and evaluate players.
Its fricking ignorant to say there haven't been 10 players on a better path at age 18 than CP. So congrats, youre fricking ignorant.

CP wasnt even the most promising 18 year old player on his own roster.

So you don't see the difference between a center forward in a league not known for defense (hell, Altidore scored 23 one year) and a winger in a much better league?
