IMHO, you should check out staying at some of the other places on the island. Plenty of family friendly options there. You'll be able to enjoy the gorgeous beach and great restaurants much more. It will be far cheaper as well.
You'll basically be packed in like sardines while sitting on one of the best beaches in the world. Not ideal is an understatement.

I stayed at windsong (nice walk along the beach before we saw beaches). Still my favorite hotel to this day. Def would be kid friendly everything is low key.
