I understand and know that you are correct. I was mainly only pointing out the hypocrisy of this thread......he wants to claim the subject is political, while he really wants to talk about hypocrisy...which is not a political subject.
He is in a Catch 22 situation. If he admits the purpose of the thread is the hypocrisy of the board, then it is an inappropriate thread for the political board. However, if he wants to rail about the murderer, we all have agreed that it was bad and they guy should be punished...therefore we have nothing to discuss.

The hypocrisy on the board is not a political subject, though.

Why are you arguing with people that agree with your thoughts on the stated thread?

We could say the same about oppression of black folks, except jim crow was 60 years ago.

Do you honestly believe that was the last attack by Muslims on the US? Bengahzi? (Pssst. I think there have been others, and I would hope you are aware of them, but....well...maybe not)

Oh? That's political? Are you for or against? I am guessing you are for since you are Liberal.

As to the thread, I believe everybody said that the guy is a scumbag and should be put away. That is what the thread is about, right?

Are you saying the whole board is guilty when you can't identify one single poster??

I think everybody knew why the thread was created, thus the response.
Yes, and again my point was that the people condemning this post as not political have no issue promoting the same types of posts if it fits their agenda. Fake outrage and hypocrisy was MY point.
Again, if we are to condemn this post as not necessary on the poli board we should do the same for the ones "on the other side of the coin" as you mentioned earlier.
To say it another way: the OPs motivation is the exact same as others on this board who post the same type of shite from a different perspective.

What is your personal estimate of the % of the foundation of this country that was contributed by immorally extracted black blood and toil?
You would have to define the criteria in order to evaluate that. If you look at the big picture, at the time of the height of slavery on the3 south, there was virtually zero slavery in the north and less than 5% of people in the south owned slaves. So if combine those two numbers...zero in the north, less than 5% in the south, what would that diluted number be? Would it then be accurate to call the whole of the people in the country at that time "racists" or the country as a whole "founded on racism"?

quote:Nah. I know exactly what it is. It's when the ilk on here rush to start threads pertaining to random acts of crime committed by blacks - even when there is CLEARLY no political angle. And then when a white guy explicitly commits racially-motivated murder to "make a statement" before the media, a thread pertaining to such obviously political fare is criticized as "not political." The further hypocrisy is in ALWAYS extrapolating/conflating single acts to entire populations of people and/or organizations (e.g. BLM, NAACP) when the perp is black or when the perp is an illegal. I've provided the stats numerous times now that illegals are FAR LESS LIKELY to commit felonies than citizens, yet the threads still multiply like rabbits pertaining to the "crisis" of crime committed by illegal immigrants. But when a white guy does something (e.g.Dylan Roof, or the a-hole that is the subject of this thread) it's ALWAYS dismissed as mere "lone wolf" or "crazy".

Call out the individuals. Let's see proof of individual hypocrisy or it's all imagined.

It's not an assumption. It's a fact. We have marginalized African Americans in this country for the majority of our nation's history. You can't expect them to go from poor to riches in less than 50 years.
We have seen many African Americans reach success, but we will see many more as time moves on and African Americans continue to build themselves from the ground up.
