I think the railgun would replace the system currently being used... and that one has the $800K projectile.

Still does seem pretty expensive but I wonder how much one of them there Tomahawk Missiles cost per trigger pull.

Correct. Current system on the Zumwalt uses LRLAP's which cost $800k per round. That cost is why it's being replaced.
