Glad he seems to be moving well, but why did he roll out? Seems he had great protection to stand in there.

Looked like the play was designed that way. I know, it's a foreign concept compared to the unimaginative passing game we've had for 9 years

It was a mobility play designed to practice evading pressure and being able to throw on the run. It's from a previously unheard of concept at LSU called QB developement.

Play design. It's a quick read one way, if it's not there it's a sprint out usually to the throwing arm of the QB.
