Anyone have any recs? I saw that BDE was recently there.
Going on a trip with 3 other friends and their wives. Already booked a swimming pig/Thunderball Grotto boat day. Have heard that Chat N Chill is fun so planning on going to the pig roast there.
Thanks for any input.

read an article recently that some of the pigs got poisoned.
Compass cay is a cool spot.

Chat n chill is great; get the conch burger. I'd consider renting a boat for a few days if you're staying on the water. My wife and I were at February point last July. It was beautiful.

House is on the water but I don't think it has a dock. Rented a car for the week. Staying near Mosstown. Plan to occupy my free time with bonefish (hopefully).

BDE here. In Turks right now, but happy to provide specifics on Exuma when we get back middle of next week. Great, great place to go. We're staying at a condo on Grace Bay and we met people today who were also recently in Exuma - we debated over drinks which one was better and it's splitting hairs but I think I'd vote Exuma just because it's an unspoiled island. It's 20-30 years behind a lot of the Caribbean and that makes it special. If you have specific questions though, fire away.

Planning 10 yr anniversary trip to Exuma in November. Wife wants Sandals for effortlessness but I'd rather someplace that we don't feel like we have to stay at the resort so we can get out and explore. Would love suggestions on hotels.

Wait. It has a Sandals but it's 20-30 years behind other islands.
Have you been to Holbox? Now that is 20-30 years behind.

BDE is right--the island is easily 20-30 years behind. The Sandals is the only real development--it somewhat recently took over the space of an unsuccessful Four Seasons.
There's no reason to stay at an all-inclusive. Exuma is a safe, easily drivable island. Rent a car and boat and explore. There are so many beaches that are easily as nice as Grace Bay, but with nowhere near the crowds. Check out the fish fry (we like Shirley's) and Tropic Breeze.

It's on my list. It's just that compared to an island like Holbox I don't see it. If exams is 30 years ago then Holbox is 60.

Grand Isle is another development next to Sandals.

Look at February Point; it's an upscale place with great amenities and water access.

Friend owns very nice place on Exuma that he rents out. Check out the Cut Pearl.
