Because the political capital will not be there. The fact of the matter is that there are many senators and congressmen in the GOP who will not accept a very conservative bill. Rand is torpedoing this bill in an effort to grandstand for his own political future. Yes, the bill does not give everyone a conservative warm and fuzzy. But it is an improvement over what we have now.
I don't know why I'm bothering to try and explain this logic to the board. Considering this place is chock full of idiots Who love to make the great the enemy of the good.
