re: A vote against AHCA is a vote for Obamacare.

Here's what your small mind doesn't comprehend. People didn't vote in Trump to just repeal and replace Obamacare, and thats it. As if there is no other thought other than "repeal/replace, we don't care about anything else after that". They voted to repeal/replace with a common sense plan that is CHEAPER and AFFORDABLE. This abortion "RINOcare" is Obamacare lite. So in 4 years, the DEMS will beat Trump over the head with that, and that is the only way the left regains power.
Google reconciliation bill, numbscull.

If any true conservative thinks TrumpCare represents what we voted him in to do then they should probably rethink what it means to be a conservative.
This is what Conservatives wanted.
Trump is not a Conservative.
The win at all costs mentality has consequences.

Reconciliation isn't a bill, dipshit, it is a budgetary tool to pass a budget if a clear 60/40 consensus can't be reached. It was used, inappropriately, by the dems to push through Obamacare.
Explain how that has any bearing on my post you quoted.

I'll take Trump and the things i disagree with him on vs. anything put forth by the left any day of the week.
I find it funny the left gloats about the Republicans not being able to find a clear path to pass something that would fix our healthcare system, when it was the DEMOCRATS who completely destroyed the healthcare system in the first place.

Passing a piece of shite bill with a bare majority to "do something" is how Obamacare happened.

Ah, I see you truly have no idea what you're talking about. Good enough. Have a nice day.

Sadly it took a non-establishment non-conservative candidate to beat the media candidate from the Democratic party who was a worse choice than Barrack Hussein Obama who was one of the worst presidents ever.
So we'll take it, cheer at the success and criticise the stuff we hate. A damn shame the Democrats are incapable of the same or we wouldn't be stuck with this shite most of them admit never reading.

Votes? Both sides try hiding their true motives. You think Ds really care about people?
People are only votes to politicians on either side. Nothing more.

But it is an improvement over what we have now.
It is the exact same thing as Obamacare. The wording has been changed for a few key terms, that is it.

I think peoples health insurance is more important that political gang banging.
I'm a far lefty but if the GOP rushes a shitty bill it will do more damage to them in the long run.
The fact that they didn't have a bill ready after 8 years of complaining is mind blowing.

I wasn't expecting a full repeal but nothing to reduce premiums instead only further complicating the tax code...and the individual mandate. No mandate would absolutely get past both houses

What's worse, is they had a bill, they passed a bill, but it was struck down by Obama. Now that they have power, they don't want that bill anymore?
Posted on 3/22/17 at 8:55 am to BugAC
Yup. That was a show vote. They're all liars and so is trump for backing it

The ACA was passed under regular order by a vote of 60-39 in the Senate you complete moron.

So if they'd simply repealed the mandate, which is in there, you'd be happy?
I'd say that would accelerate the destruction of our healthcare system even faster.

Learn something dumbass. Scott Brown ring a bell?
LINK
quote:
Brown's election meant Democrats could no longer break a filibuster in the Senate. In response, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel argued that Democrats should scale back to a less ambitious bill; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed back, dismissing Emanuel's scaled-down approach as "Kiddie Care"
quote:
Obama remained insistent on comprehensive reform. The news that Anthem Blue Cross in California intended to raise premium rates for its patients by as much as 39% gave him new evidence of the need for reform.[176][177] On February 22, he laid out a "Senate-leaning" proposal to consolidate the bills.[178] He held a meeting with both parties' leaders on February 25. The Democrats decided that the House would pass the Senate's bill, to avoid another Senate vote.
quote:
House Democrats had expected to be able to negotiate changes in a House-Senate conference before passing a final bill. Since any bill that emerged from conference that differed from the Senate bill would have to pass the Senate over another Republican filibuster, most House Democrats agreed to pass the Senate bill on condition that it be amended by a subsequent bill.[175] They drafted the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, which could be passed by the reconciliation process.
quote:
The amendment bill, The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, cleared the House on March 21; the Senate passed it by reconciliation on March 25, and Obama signed it on March 30.

True, they would be making the same mistakes democrats made that cost them political strength.
