well on the economic spectrum, capitalism is on the "freedom" side of the spectrum

it's actually one of those funny things where if you use a softer word, more people agree with you. if you say you believe in "free trade", you're much more likely to have a leftist-leaning person agree with it than if you say "capitalism" (although the Trumpkins are engaging on their own war on the term "free trade" so it's not as effective that way anymore)
