OK, I've been around along time, seen lots of bands come and go. Each new generation has their favorites and are convinced that those performers are the GOAT. 10 years later, not heard of again. You don't know who the truly great ones are until 20 or 30 years past their peak, if their music is still listened to and talked about. Take the 60's- The Beatles will forever be relevant, not so much the Dave Clark 5 or Mott the Hupple. You can do this for every decade.Test of time.

Just FWIW- the first convert I ever attended was the Allman Bros in in 1972
