I think every year is all in in the NFL now. The Patriots rotating roster has been their secret to success. Argue what you will about the Cooks trade compensation. If you do not see signing him beyond his rookie deal then this is exactly how the Pats have built their winning formula. One year Super Bowl and the next 6-10 like the Panthers or 8-8 to the SB like the dirty birds is the NFL now. Saints to the Super Bowl? Just re-examine last year and note how few plays could have flipped 7-9 to a playoff appearance. IMO there are only a half dozen NFL teams that could be considered in building mode vs. all in.
