re: Overly obsessive parents in sports

I went to a high school soft ball game a few days ago. A dad was yelling at his daughter for swinging at a high ball. The pitches that followed were all over her head, but at that point, he was yelling at her to hit the ball because he didn't pay for a walk. She finally got a good pitch and hit that ball solid to the fence, but geez, the guy didn't make sense telling her to hit the high balls. She'd have had to jump to get some of those.
