It certainly was with the two male gypsies who tried to kidnap me.

One of them grabbed my upper arm so hard I thought I wouldn't be able to escape his grasp.

Fortunately, I had just learned how to escape from someone's grasp by turning my arm towards the grasper's thumb which bent it backwards so I could escape and it worked.

Then the man who grabbed me said he only wanted to ask me for directions to a local movie theater. After I gave him the directions he invited me to come along with the two of them and that they would pay my way into the theater.

My brother was with me and as soon as we walked around a corner to go back to our house I looked back and I saw both of the men getting into their car.

My brother and I ran as fast as we could because we knew we were about a half mile from home and on a straight stretch of road with very few houses around.

As my brother and I ran up our front steps we were screaming to our mother who was inside that someone just tried to kidnap us.

When our mother stepped outside the kidnappers drove by the front of our house and down our street then turned the corner and disappeared.

We told our mother to call the police and report a description of the car and men to the police so that maybe the cops would catch them.

Unfortunately, our mother didn't believe us when we said they just tried to kidnap me so she never called the poice.

To this day, I wonder if some poor kid got kidnapped by them after they got away because our mother wouldn't call the police.
