Never made that walk from the road but can imagine that's a helluva hike pulling cart full of gear. Not allowing driving on the beach helped people in boats...I had less people to fight over the breakers with

It bunched up waders close to the parking lot. Since people didnt't spread out they would go out too deep. It was retarded both times we went last year
