UT seats over 100,000 compared to 65000 for San antonio BUT UT only gives the visitors 4000 tickets for Austin games

Alleva will agree to Superdome and Texas will agree to only Austin
being the shrewd AD he is.

So the demand would be higher than the supply. Why couldn't you just charge more (even substantially more) per ticket to even it out or make a greater profit?

At least with the Alamodome you can get good seats almost anywhere. Of the 100k DKR seats, some look so far away from the action. I've been in the upper deck there closest to I-35, not necessarily a fun experience.

Very curious how and how much switching LSU - Wisconsin home and home to NRG and Lambeau impacts total revenue...

LSU at Austin, TX and Texas at Death Valley MAKE for a great fan experience AND great Saturday TV...

Say it ain't so Joe...

LSU at Lambeau was historic despite the result... would have been full-on epic if Canada were our OC.

Why would either team give up revenues and incur more expenses?

You do realize the point of these neutral site games is to limit expenses? While putting a team on a bus or plane and getting hotels isn't cheap, it pales in comparison to the expense of putting on a home game. Security, traffic, etc for home games is way more of an expense than travel

Plus the gate for a game at the Superdome is about $10 million because they can charge higher ticket prices than an LSU or Texas home game.

So LSU and Texas get more money at a neutral site than play a home and home.

I agree this idea sucks for fans, but if you are talking about expenses and profit. It's not really close

That "former colleague" is making this up.

LSU will play UT in Austin in 2019.

A year later, the two will play in Baton Rouge.

LSU’s $3.4 million payday Saturday is more than the school nets from a home game in Tiger Stadium, Alleva said.

The two-year deal just sweetens things. The Green Bay Packers will pay LSU $2.1 million for the game at Lambeau Field in 2016. That’s $5.5 million for two games, well more than, say, a home-and-home series with the Badgers.

“When I play home and home with an opponent, I get a good pay day here at Tiger Stadium,” Alleva said, “but when I go on the road, I get nothing.”

Oh gee I hope not.

I know UT fans want to experience Death Valley.

And I for one would love to see the Tigers play in DKR.
