You look stupid, tbh. Not all interracial interaction is under a political umbrella. In fact, most isn't.

Wrong. The article in the OP is why Millions of people live where they live. It's why local DAs, sheriffs and judges get elected in many towns. Many people live in places where negative 'interracial interaction' is impossible. By design.

It seemed quite important during a presidential election. Race was brought up A LOT if I recall correctly. I'd say that's political. You may be able to argue race isn't technically a political issue, but we all know it really is.

Was BLM used as a political vehicle by democrats? I'd say so.
