Harrison Ford's acting in the Star Wars OT was horrendous, especially in ANH.

Tom Cruise, while an extremely weird guy, is a phenomenal actor.

As someone who loves old movies, it pains me to say this -- most movies from the Hollywood golden age (e.g. 1940s, 50s and early 60s) are profoundly overrated and overacted. I still laugh when I watch an old movie and see a scene where the woman does the move where she dramatically breaks away from the man, walks over to a window or a corner, and stares off into space while reciting a monologue.

Twelve O'Clock High is the best WWII movie ever made.

Not an unpopular opinion; at least, it shouldn't be. Great movie.

I don't think he's a good actor in anything. He has a smirky attitude which works for Indiana Jones and Han Solo. And he was good in Regarding Henry. Otherwise he's wooden. Laughably bad in Blade Runner.

I agree. His acting is underrated.

Yeah I can't stand old movies. The dialogue and acting are usually absurd and overall they're mostly boring.
