The US is a seething pot of pent up anger and anxiety right now. Kim Jong Un would be wise NOT to give us a solid, unifying target for that angst right now. If we had a common enemy we could most all agree upon along with an administration that would not hamstring the military that entity would get fricking crushed.
Bring it on Kim Jong. You can be the next boogie man.

LOL. Yep. And don't forget the movie and tv mini-series on the History Channel.

We'd frick it up. Some how or other, taking this little pecker wood out would backfire on us.

Will someone send this little fat jackass a play station or something so he don't get bored?
Him running that suck is gonna get a lot of malnourished NK soldiers blown TF up.

NK and SK have a frick-ton (estimated) of shite aimed at each other all the time. The second shite pops off, Seoul is going to get hammered.
Everyone says this, but you're basically falling for NK's bluff.
1) Seoul is out of range from most - though not all - of NK's artillery. FACT.
2) While artillery is easy to hide, they're sitting ducks for US/SK strikes as soon as they start firing. They're going to find out real soon that they may be able to fire, but not for long. Also, this isn't a huge area - while we may not know the exact location of all their pieces, we know where they're going to be.
***3) This is the most important part: do you really think that NK soldiers sit there firing unaccurate conventional artillery like dumbasses at a city 35 miles away while ignoring US/ROK forces blowing up that arse? *** In fact you can make the case that it's better if they do try that; less resistance for us
4) This is conventional artillery we're talking about. Conventional artillery that will be firing in conditions that are ...uh... less than ideal for them. Not to mention that the amount of time they'll be able to have to pull off a sustained sortie is incredibly small. You can't level a city by lobbing 40 year old Soviet shells from a position 50 miles away in a matter of hours.
5) It's extremely unlikely they have the sufficient shells to destroy Seoul from their position, even if that were their only objective. And again - that's assuming it all goes toward Seoul and not the impending attack.
ETA: them getting a bunch of nuke warheads changes the game though. We may be able to knock a few out, but the more they have the greater the chances they can get one across.
If it has to end, then the safest option is to do it now. The longer we wait the worse it'll get, assuming the Kim regime stays intact.

I don't disagree, and I'm on the other side of the political fence as you. Right now it's like at the end of a long summer of two-a-days and we're all pissed and taking it out on each other but really deep down we can't wait to suit up on that first Friday and go knock out some motherfrickers who are wearing different colors for once.
And in this scenario we are the New England Patriots and NK is Brother Martin
