But you can't consume 4000+ calories a day of fried shite and expect other people to pay the bill (except that you can). No one should have to be told that.

Honestly, some people don't even understand the concept of calories.

Education can only go so far... When liberals try things like soda taxes, conservatives get mad. What other solutions are there?

And they're not going to be educated. If they don't understand food intake as adults, they're probably not able to be educated.

Do you think people are so stupid that they don't know cigs, fried foods, and ice cream is bad for them in large quantities right now?

Then you want to fix the problem by govt. taxing more.

Didn't govt. 'fix" the coal miners? Didn't the president brag about running them out of business? And now we see the result, a coal miner going on Medicaid to get medical treatment.

Maybe the govt. can raise taxes on soda so soda companies can lay off workers and that way we'll have more people dependent on govt.

Isn't that the cycle we see now?

Let unhealthy people (by their own means) deal with it as their resources allow. And I'm not sure there is a real easy way to do that when you also include taking care of those that got the shite lottery of life and are born with some rare disorder or become afflicted later in life with some degenerative disease. But in my perfect world that is how it happens.
