I perosnally prefer a trailer over an RV. For starters, if you like staying at the campground more than just a weekend it's nice to have a truck to go out to the store or go get some firewood or something.
The benifit of a toy hauler is, if you ride, you can have both a truck and your motorcycle while camping. Or even if you don't ride, a toy hauler is perfect for hauling your golf cart. And as anyone who's ever stayed at a campground can tell you, a golf cart is a great thing to have.

Death, when we are fully retired we're going to do the same thing. I plan on going 5th wheel for mine for just those reasons.
Our plan is to move to our small house at St Augustine Beach and sell our other house in Orlando use the proceeds to buy our rig.
I'm with you, I hate hotels. They're disgusting for the most part.

Many RVs tow a secondary vehicle anyway. Most just a small crossover , but my dad actually tows his f150(to take work sites).
