You don't have a clue as to what the hell youre talking about, but you're going to come on here and try and spread this.

It's a message board, fella. It's where people give, you know, their opinions and stuff. This isn't a journalism board that requires multiple credible sources before going to print. People are allowed to give their gut feelings.

And you have to admit this entire Key situation is very odd, so it's not unreasonable for fans, in the absence of any concrete facts, to speculate. It's human nature.

yeah there is a limited list of possible, realistic scenarios

1. family/kid issues. this is the "best" option because it doesn't really speak negatively about Key's player status or personal life. it also has the best shot that he's ready to go for LSU in the fall. the biggest issue with this possibility is that it's not something that can be "fixed" and may linger through the season. but if he can put it behind him for one more year, he'll be a pro making millions and that should be able to help (unless the family issue is an illness).

2. drug issue/rehab. this isn't a great option but as i said earlier, it has a real-potential solution and if it is resolved he can get his life back on track. there were rumblings last year about a drug suspension so it's not completely random and the secrecy and all that fit the rehab narrative. if this is not true, it kind of looks bad as a speculation but, again, the secrecy makes speculation a likely outcome.

3. grade issue. this one is bad but fixable. the worst part is that while this problem is the easiest to fix, if it isn't fixed there is no way around the negative outcomes. if he's not eligible, then he won't play in the fall and we lose his last year. that would be terrible for LSU and Key and it's just a bad outcome all around. so worst possible outcome but there is a rather simple solution.

4. attitude issue. this one is very bad because if his attitude got so bad that he had to basically be suspended from the team, the positive outcomes are minimized to a large extent. there also isn't as much of a "fix" for this issue. college athletes with that big of an ego problem don't just change over night and it also may severely hurt his pro prospects. unlike grades, he could still play but who knows what that may result in. so there is a possible higher ceiling than the grade issue but a much more difficult solution to the problem. that's why i put this one as the worst option.

there really aren't any more realistic, possible explanations for this absence
