That's fair. I don't think Gentry is as awful as most, but I get preferring Monty or another coach to him, especially with the roster they have now.
If they move on this summer, it needs to be about finding the best fit for winning games. Not saving money or protecting flowchart power (allegedly one reason why Monty himself got the boot)

Now that I have a better idea of what this org wants in a head coach I should have been worried when we fired Monty. He was growing as a head coach and leader of a team. And AD was still developing and averaged 31 pts and 11 rebs with 3blks in the playoffs to the eventual NBA champions. He should have got one more season to see if he could have kept his team chemistry growing like he did towards the end of the season.
Back then I wanted to hire Jeff Van Gundy soooo bad. This Gentry crap got old for me last year when he smiled after a close loss at home because he saw someone he knew in the stands. He's not a fricking leader.
