Cashmere or Alpaca, what kind of throw should I be buying?

Looking for a soft throw, history says cashmere, but I'm hearing a lot of talk on this Alpaca movement.

Any OT'er's have any insight?

Get a fleece one. You'll just spill something on it anyway.

Chenille. You can't afford the good stuff.

Alpaca? Never heard of that being a blanket option.

They're all over Etsy. Most are made in the USA and not the Eastern Bloc like where I order my cashmere.

Etsy link to some

Interesting side topic, what about bathrobes?

I air dry and then wear linen pants afterwards.

Thinking terrycloth and not a wool

We have two alpaca blankets, they are great and get fought over. Lightweight and warm. I'm sure we don't treat them right, just thrown in washer and dryer, but they have held up well.

Speechless. On second thought, let your husband make the decision.

Next I'll buy will be alpaca, but I'm heading to peru. Blow and blankets... most awkward vacation ever.
