Navionics are definitely the way to go for lakes but is no use for the marsh which is why all south la wants the satellite imagery.

I personally like it for the marsh. Just being able to see where there is water and land doesnt do you much good IMO. Navionics has loads of information on what's navigable and what isnt and to me that's more important.
