The kid has great potential and I personally think he will make a tremendous difference when he starts to get a few minutes.

His numbers are kind of mediocre for a DLeague call up. Normally Demps calls up guys that are DLeauge All Stars. Selden isn't even on the top 25 prospect list from March 1st. But Crawford and Hollis Thompson are. LINK
He just doesn't fit the profile of who they have called up in the past, especially if they are looking to get him immediate minutes. I think picking him up was to get a look at him as a future prospect and candidate for one of the new DLeague roster spots next year.

Stein reporting Casspi a week away from playing. The players we "needed" his roster spot have played 16 minutes total in one game.
