Headed back to Moscow next week for work for what will be the 5th time since last July. I typically have a day to myself and feel like I've done all the touristy stuff (basically Red Square and surrounding, subway stations, etc). Anyone have any other suggestions?

Have you been to the flea market at Izmailovski Park? I assume it's still there on weekends. It's 20 acres of booths of handicrafts and art works. Also some impressive military souvenirs.
Also, the WWII museum at Victory Park is impressive. Don't be surprised to learn there that the Soviet Union defeated Germany all by itself.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I second Moscow State University. Really cool architecture and a great view of the city from on top of the hill. Also a really cool orthodox church just down the street from the university. There's a hike you can do through the woods from the train station on the other side of the river up to the university that i recommend doing to get up there.
