This is all relative, of course. Whether you are already a great person or a raging a-hole, if you decided you wanted to be a better person--whatever that may look like to you--what is the very first change you would make?

I generally find that I get things done a lot more quickly and efficiently if I am up against a deadline, so I procrastinate when starting tasks. If I were to start on a task as soon as I can and hit it with the same urgency, I could really make a lot more progress and would not be nearly as stressed.

Honestly, this would probably be number 1 on my list. I get a lot out of here, but I spend soooooooo much time on here I could be spending with my kids, excercising, reading, cultivating relationships, etc...

Be more productive. i.e. Keep my Project List 100% current each week and my next action items as well. Sometimes it's moving so fast, it's hard to stop and corral it all. And I get off track running down rabbit trails.

These lists are ideally synced with long term goals, 1, 3, 5 and 10 year plans.

Just to keep all the granular stuff moving in the right direction.

That's too big and generic. I mean a simple change. "Be a better person" is the abstract idea. What is the first concrete decision you would make to achieve it.

How would you apply Saban's process in broken down steps? You can't win the national championship on a Monday. You have to break it down. Win your conference, win your game, win your half, win your quarter, win your Drive, win your series, win your play, win your matchup--the bigger things take care of themselves. You can't just "be a better person." You can make a series of better decisions that taken and observed in their totality may make yourself or other people objectively consider you a "better person." A progressive series of steps. What's that first step?

Oh I gotcha. I guess I would show more gratitude to the people in my life and for the things I have.
