The Indians pool their money and they live extremely cheap and watch what they spend.

What is wrong with that? Indian Americans tend to be good citizens wit intact families. Their kids go to school and do well in it. They tend to assimilate quite well within 2 generations....they also arrive speaking English which makes it very easy to assimilate and interact.
