Hooker will be a pure FS. Blazing speed, natural playmaker. Ed Reed-lite.
Hooker is a dynamic safety with who can cover ground against the pass that most safeties just can't cover. Not only that but he is an interception machine. With that said, for as good as Hooker is against the pass, he is just as terrible against the run. He is a poor tackler in space & takes awful angles in run support. If you draft Hooker you simply have to take the good with the bad in hopes he can improve his weaknesses.

Hooker is also coming off hip & sports hernia surgery.

Ohio State safety Malik Hooker had hip surgery in January, and sports hernia surgeries on both sides, so doctors had to take care with him.
“My medical checks are going real well,” Hooker said, via Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. “I was told not to let anybody pull or tug at my leg just because the surgery was recent — six weeks out and a few days — they more so looking at my upper body.”
