These Marines fricked up. They should and will be punished accordingly.
They should be, of course. Accordingly is another story. BCD for sharing consenting nudes is over the top and I hope it doesn't come to that. The military is all for taking pools of men and women ready to lay down their life in service but at one sign of transgression will dump them to the curb with nothing to show for it. Military justice is a farce in most instances and society in general is left holding the bag for it.

You are either still hurt in the arse over this, or you didn't get it. Both are equally entertaining, so I don't need to know which.
Don't worry, I'll make sure it has lots of pictures.
Man, you're really still hurt over this. You're so mad. We're sorry that no one laughed at your dumb attempt at a joke. It's OK.

consenting nudes
Yeah, except that it wasn't limited to that.
I have no clue what they'll receive, but whatever it is, they deserve it.

The Marine Corps is often more lenient than they should be overall, in my opinion. That's why we have Marines that think this is acceptable behavior. It isn't.

Really? Whatever it is, they deserve it?

So weak, man.
I fully expected you to finish that off with a "Yo Momma" joke.

Absolutely. Turns out, we have people that handle these types of things. They'll figure out what happened better than any of us, and they'll be punished accordingly.
Sit down and stick that foot back in your mouth.

Did you serve? Not calling you out, I'm just asking.

Just lowering myself to your level so that you'll be able to engage in the discourse.

Yes, there it is. Even better than a "Yo Momma" joke.

How do you suspect I have done so?

Again, just following in your footsteps.

Exactly. Just because Person A consented to give something to Person B does not mean Person A consented to give it to everyone else.
Imagine if you told a friend of your's some kind of secret. Maybe it was a health issue, a work issue, or anything else.
Because you told him does that mean you also consented to him telling everyone else?

As has been mentioned numerous times in this thread, this shouldn't be a damn debate about women's role in the military. That is an entirely different subject.

women want their male military comrades to still desire them sexually but they be damned if they whistle at them or spank the arse they tooting.
In my experience, probably 90% of military women are fine being whistled at, hearing dirty jokes, talking about sex, etc... But you better watch out for that other 10% because they will happily ruin your career.

True statement. Usually they will make the first crude remark and/or gesture... then it's game on from that point.

This is the key. Can you characterize what else there was?

But that's different than you recording it without their knowledge.
To be perfectly clear, I'm against what most of these guys did but I don't paint with a broad brush. A Marine sharing a pic that a girl sent him is different than say a female Marine getting shite faced and being unclothed against her will or a peeping tom voyeurism type case.

I didn't read the article but are they really giving out big chicken dinners for this? What these guys did is shitty but I think njp is sufficient. Give them 45 and 45 and move on.

I asked if you served because in my experience this is not the case anymore. I got out during the Amos tenure and have no regrets. I know everyone has a different experience but that worthless sack of shite represented everything I disliked about the way the Corps was headed.
Back to topic, I witnessed administrative or punitive discharges for things like underage drinking or fighting with other Marines. Some were booted for even the slightest hint of hazing. It isn't that that are forced out but they have to explain to employers that even though they wanted to risk their lives and do something that less than 5% of our population is doing, they now have less value to society than before they enlisted.
