People like that hide behind veils of entertainment and news to appear innocuous, and so must have their curtain removed so that people understand what is going on.
Sure. But the government shouldn't use unconstitutional methods to do this.

Well I guess if he was "right" then that excuses his unconstitutional methods. That whole first amendment isn't a big deal or anything.

But it's good to know who doesn't hold the Constitution as the Supreme law of the land.

It was a hearing on un-American activities, in order to bring it to light in the midst of a Cold War. He was doing exactly what we all should have been doing at the time, instead of looking for a literal invasion, uncover who's already invaded and entrenching themselves in American life, and uncover potential plots to subvert Americans. Again, turns out that they were. This country is living proof of it. Nobody served time, but many were exposed, and good, albeit barely scratching the surface. In the end, the subversion continued, we were made to feel guilty for exposing them in front of the entire country, and American children got their constant diet of leftist drivel pumped in their heads at ever increasing doses as time went on, and here we are, a country that vaguely resembles it's former self, and is even ashamed of being a country. How dare we.
