Whereas there might be a handful of things a Governor might do that is classified or confidential (security arrangements for a Superbowl, Homeland Security coordination issues, etc.), there is only a handful of things the Secretary of State of the U.S. says or does in private that isn't classified.

What HRC did with her electronic devices was stupid, wrong, and maybe illegal. She handled classified emails and even though they say she was not hacked we really don't know.
What VP Pence did was stupid as well. How the two are similar is that he did handle classified info as member on FA committee while in congress. We do know his email was hacked.
