They probably wouldn't be on the team bc he wouldn't have recruited them to come. They would've signed the guys he did recruit. Or OK.

There isn't a player in this league that could come close to defending him. Not one. Not one player in this game who could even hold his jock strap in his prime. Jebus the man made Jordan look silly lol. You do realize there isn't a player in this league that was faster, quicker, and not many have as high of a vertical as he had. Combined with ball skills that no one in the league has I definitely could see him destroying anything out there. This is so ridiculous that I can't even believe anyone believes this shite lolol. I'm laughing non-stop readin this nonsense. You do realize he is one of the most athletic guards in history right?? This is absurd.

Sounds like Harden has final say, right?

You're doing that dumb Boom thing again where your over exaggerating a good thing.

They were considered bad signings due to them being incredibly injury prone. Now they are playing relatively injury free this year, which is definitely an aberration more than anything.

And when they did finally get healthy in New Orleans they helped lead the Pels into the playoffs. EG shot over 40% from three and Ryno started to get over his back injuries. So they have won in other places. Going to the Rockets doesn't magically make them better players.

Then they both got hurt a lot in their final season here.

Who guarded him in his prime? Are today's guards better or worse than those guards?

Westbrook is the most athletically gifted player in nba history.

No they were considered bad signing bc they were supposedly poor defenders who when teamed up another poor defender in harden would have the worst defense in the league. Yet here we are middle of the pack 3/4 through the season. Why? Mmm maybe because the offense is so good it forces teams to play catchup and take bad shots. Whys that offense so good? Harden putting up 28/11 on 60% TS. Never been done before.

final say comes down to making contracts work etc. Fact is if harden didn't want them they wouldn't make it to the 'make the numbers work' stage in the first place. Ie harden ok'd them. Bc he woulda been recruiting other players that he did want. Not them.

Yeah we all know the media has a 100 % success rate with predictions.
If the players dont matter then why hasn't Harden been doing what he's doing now?

He took a team with best players Lin asik and parsons to the playoffs. Is that a talented team? Nope.

Two years ago he got the two seed and was runner up for MVP. With his second best player out half whole year.

He has been winning without big time talent for a while now.

I love when posters like you post yourself into a corner. Youve repeatedly said that Harden's teammates are only good because of Harden's play. Now youre saying the talent around his wasnt adequate.

how good has asik been since he stopped playing with harden?

The talent in that team was no good. But playing with harden made those guys good enough to be the best other players on a playoff team.

omer asik played better in his only year under monty than his last year in houston. After that, Gentry refuses to use bigs thus why we all say Dell is a fricking retard.

Lin is playing just as well as he did in Houston. He actually played better the year before he joined Harden.

Parsons improved every single year in the league and during his stint in Dallas was a 15/5/3 guy even without Harden.

Neither are the 'best players' on a playoff team. They're very good role players, but none of them are superstar caliber players.

Easily.

You got guys who play against him saying he's the best in the game.

You got other all time greats saying if they could start a team with any player, they would build around harden.

Then you see he's top 5 in all of:

PER
WS
WS/48
BPM
VORP

And you really gotta dig to find a reason to say he's NOT top 5.

Asik never averaged a double double in NOLA. only with Houston and harden.

Those players at that point in their careers has no business being the next best guys on a playoff team.
