He has family at UW. Something big would have to happen to change his mind at this point

Seems like Canada really does have a "type" for his QBs. Sitkowski and this kid are both 6'4-6'5 220+ and more pro style QBs. I like how they're pocket mobile and not status like Mett. Looking forward to see who we land in this class.
I know Canada builds around his QBs ability but seems like this type of QB is his first option.

His dad is a professor at UW.

Wow - Small world. I know the family - his dad was an absolute stud LBer at Montana back in the day. I went to high school with the mom and her dad was our high school football coach.
I can say with very little reservation, kid stays in the NW, and I'd say 99.9% UW.

I'm thinking LSU has an open position.

The style makes no difference what so ever, it's all about how they process information, how fast and efficient they do it as well. What I think will pay off is him being consistent with his choices, whether they be mobile or not the running of the offense is most important and I think he's just starting at the top then come down. Why start in the middle when there may be something you can say or do during the season that completely catches one of these guys attention! Come be a star for me at LSU compete for championships every year you here and play in front of national audiences every week. Then of course be a number 1 draft pick if you respond well here. I think this guy will catch the eye of a few of these big time QBs if not this year then next, but he will pick up the best he can get to run his offense. I think he's been very consistent unlike Cam and Les actually.

His uncle is Peter Sirmon too. Current DC for Louisville. He was the DC for Miss St last year.

YOu mean the guy they invited to Boys from the Boot, he showed up and they talked, and hilariously found out they had been calling/texting the wrong number the whole time?

Adore Jackson, Feliepe Franks, Jhamon Ausbon and countless others labeled LSU their "Dream School" and committed elsewhere. If anything the Dream school curse almost signifies you will commit elsewhere. Especially in LSU's case.
Well there you have it. Shut everything down this kid is a tiger lock

That's all right, nothing else going on behind the scenes when offers go out to recruits LSU feels fits what they want. Just offer and move on lmao.
It is just an offer but it also sends a message to others to what we are looking for. We are looking for a competent QB not an athlete we can mold into a QB. A guy that can process info quickly and make the right decision under extreme pressure in a calm manner. Athlete or not if you can't do that, there really isn't a reason to look at you seriously. Now maybe once we run out of QBs that we know can do this at a high level then we move onto the guys that they think can do this at some point in their career. You also don't want to wait until you absolutely have to have a QB to look for the best, now is the time to do that. I like going after the best myself fat chance or not. Never know what can happen in a years time.

I like it. Whether he's attainable or not is irrelevant. You offer the best. It may force recruits that may be on the fence to commit or risk losing their spot. I'm sick of always putting all of the eggs in very few baskets. I like the change. It's how the big boys recruit.

IIRC, players at the QB position don't flip as much as players from other positions. They tend to be the more loyal guys during the recruiting process.

Ryan Perrilloux
Dwayne Haskins
Feliepe Franks
Lindsey Scott
Lowell Narcisse
Just to name a few related to LSU off the top of my head that flipped at some point.
ETA:
And how could I forget Gunner "no chest" Kiel

I want to believe you, but when we had a guy like Lowell Narcisse flip to us from auburn just last year. Feliepe Flip away from us the year before and the other kid that went to Cincy in recent years, I just don't. Flips are imminent at every position. It's kid dependent.

So the state is loaded with QB talent this year?
Posted on 2/28/17 at 2:35 pm to Ace Midnight
quote:yeah, for Petersen and Washington. Canada is def used to recruiting nationally and doesn't know the first thing about LA talent, but he'll soon find out. It would be better if they tried to get that kid from Texas(Dinkelman I think) back in the fold that had committed to Miles at an early age.
6'4", 218 as a 16/17 years old. Kid will be a beast.
