Well, yeah. But fruits are high in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. To completely avoid them is foolish. Bananas are dangerous for someone who is diabetic, but they are very healthy for "regular" people.

You should eat the lowest carb fruits you can find - and even then in moderation. Bananas and tropical fruits are essentially just sugar bombs. The bits of nutrition they do have are not worth the insulin reaction.
