Being fit is diametrically opposed to being healthy.
You can be super fit and have terrible heart and liver health. The overall stress that is chronically placed on your heart will cause it to actually weaken. Heavy cardio training leads to chronic cortisol levels that lead to plaque build up in the coronary arteries. If you are are already predisposed genetically to this then it's a poor combination. Smoked for almost half his life. Had a genetically enlarged heart. His father and grandfather died at early ages. It's not like exercising alone killed him.

Exercise can make your heart healthier. Diet/lifestyle are also very important. If it worries you, ask your primary care physician and then get a referral to a cardiologist if needed.
