When I hear shite like this about people who work their arse off to be healthy and then suffer from heart issues it's a really bummer. Wtf am I doing busting my arse on the treadmill if I'm going to die on it in ten years?

I think genes perhaps play a bigger role. Certain people are just put together better than others. No amount of exercise can fix that.
I started eating two bananas, a bowl of oatmeal, and two carrots every day and cut out all fast food, carbonated beverages and most junk food candies, yet I can't tell you that I feel any different than I did when I was eating like crap. All the articles of "this is what happens to your body after 10 days of fast food" are BS.

we don't know what levels he was attempting.
we don't know what levels you are doing.
once upon a time, all my co-workers who were in the same stressful work group nationally went to get EKG's on the treadmill under MD supervision.
Over a year, I was the only one out of 9 guys who did not have to be pulled off the treadmill and given a root-router treatment.
I surmise that running at full blast up an incline on a treadmill is going to test you big time and bring out the weak elements in your system.
all guys in 50's and 60's. the test for my age was to run at 165 hr for 12 minutes.
I did not run at full blast to get to that heart rate.
