The editor said it was her mistake and that she never received any information given to them that would suggest Obama was born anywhere other than Hawaii.

Then why didn't she say he was born in Africa? That is a horsesh#t story. Either Obama was born in Africa, or told his publishing company he was. Editors don't just make crap up. That is why they are editors.
