Being a Georgia boy now living in New England, I've never been to Mardi Gras.
At all of these parades- are open containers allowed? Is everyone drinking? Is Nawlins the place to go or are there other cities with better parades?

I will say last year in KC for work I was plesently surprised when my Uber driver said they don't have open container laws in a vehicle and he incouraged me to drink a beer while riding with him.

That's cool that open containers are allowed. I've been to Saint Patrick's parades in New York and Boston- but you have to be very discreet drinking- coffee cups, etc.
