That was the LAST thing I wanted to happen. Really don't know if I can continue watching. That reveal sucked
ETA: for those who missed it, Red's business has been undermined the past few episodes by someone from within Red's circle. Las night Red was poisoned by one of those people and was given 2 days to live. Task force eventually got the antidote but it was revealed DEMBE drugged Red and ran away

Did you watch that new spinoff - Redemption? If so, how was that?

whelp, now I have to watch. I am getting a how I met your mother type feeling with this show. I was giving up on it.

I have such a deep, impassioned hatred for the Elisabeth Keen character. I was hoping the show would end with Redd killing everyone and pissing on their corpses.

I watched the first 10 minutes (recorded) and had to turn it off. Seemed like a poor man's Blacklist.

Watched Redemption, thought it was ok. But I didn't realize Susan Hargrave didn't know Keen was her son.

They've just gone complete retard with this series. Mr Kaplin, Alexander Kirk situation, taking Tom from the show and now this with Dembe.

I've given up as well. Acting was meh from the start (except for Red) but the suspense was decent. Not sure exactly where the show went off the rails? Maybe after Keen murders a politican and goes on the run.
At any rate it's a shame as it's basically wasted Red's character which coulda/shoulda/woulda been one of the greatest TV characters of all-time.

I have a theory on this. We haven't seen Mr Kaplan for several episodes. Dembe didn't like what Red had to do to her. What if she got to Dembe and they're working together?

That's the only link that I can think of but what is the outcome? So no more Mr Kaplin, no more Dembe, they've taken Tom to redemption. The only thing you are left with is Red (with no one he trust except for Liz), and a handful of crappy characters, with some bad acting. They've ruined what was a good show.

Yeah I totally agree that Kaplin is in on this. I was actually legitimately upset that Dembe did it. Idk what direction they're going with this (and not in a good way)

Ugh Dembe turned on Red? He and Reds BFF thing was one of the high points of the show.

Not sure that is how it will play out. He may have other reasons other than just betrayal which Redd helps him resolve. That is where my money is.

I don't see how it could go any other way. Assuming Dembe did poison him, which is looks like is the case, no way Red lets him walk. Considering he shot Mr Kaplin in the head because she helped Tom and Liz escape to Cuba, no way he doesn't go after Dembe after he almost killed him.
