On a different note, does anyone think CPM will go after a few more big sluggers in recruiting classes because of the new ball? I do think the difference in flight is slightly noticeable.
I hope so, i like have some sluggers and some guys that are good with small ball

The true differences between 1998-1999 to 2008-2009 were the steroids not the bats.

2009 era bats were the best with the perfect mix not sure why NCAA ever went away from that.

Dean's team at UNO is definitely giving gorilla ball a good go.

The games LSU has played this year have all been really warm, ball is carrying early this year.

For those that can remember 1997, I hope this team can have it's version of Brandon Larson and the success of that year.
Never gonna happen. The days of guys hitting 35-40 Hr's in a college season are gone. I would like to see one guy with 20-23.
1997 the top 4 HR hitters were
Larson 40
Mike Koerner 22
E. Furniss 17
Tom Bernhardt 17
Since 2010 only 2 players have hit at least 23 HR's in a season in the SEC.
