Well, it was from years ago, and was actually a sarcastic take on his own experiences as being the victim of pedophelia as an underage boy.
The media spun it around to look like a serious advocation of BEING the pedophile.

yeah they're playing with fire here
he's probably not going to be able to get out of this, but they're legit victim blaming and marginalizing the subjective experience of a victim (which includes acting out in absurd ways regarding that past violation). if they really want this to be the standard, they're eating their own

Ah. Haven't kept up with this so this makes more sense now.
I love how the media also ignored Bernie's rape fantasy ramblings as well.
