this Milo situation is almost literally the same as the conversation had after Meryl Streep's speech b/c of her support of an admitted, convicted child rapist

and Amy Schumer said straight up racist jokes before she was the "it girl" and largely got a pass b/c of her politics and sex. it's the same situation where a now-famous person has an example of a toxic subject discussed in their past before they were a national brand. i didn't criticize her for her racist jokes b/c they were just jokes, fwiw

I'm not following the Amy Schumer comparison, but Polanski is a disturbing example of selective acceptance, at least in some Hollywood circles.
