Are you saying at the point of beginning the downswing, there should be no pull with the left hand/ arm? It is a rh push?

precisely. there should be a weight shift at the beginning of the downswing. your upper body should feel like it does absolutely nothing. but what happens in reality is you get a lateral side bend which effectively drops the club into the "slot." at this point you proceed to try to knock the shite out of the ball while keeping your head steady and not moving forward. essentially, an inclined baseball swing.
