My question is: Is the human race ever going to come together to plan for this inevitable takeover and enact laws that will allow all humans to live peacefully while the brunt of the work is done by computers and robots or will our failure to plan for this lead to worldwide financial devastation and all out war?
They just discussed this heavily at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
It's some scary stuff. There's no doubt massive jobs will simply disappear as automation and robotics increase. I think some of the doomsday theories don't take into account enough of the jobs that will be created to support this industry, but it will still be a seismic shift in employment done at lightning speed when you compare it to traditional job shifts seen over decades.
