It's not about age so much as it is about maturity. There are plenty of ten year olds that are more responsible than a lot of fourteen year old kids.

Bingo. My 10 year old isn't close to mature enough yet but if he was, he would probably get one this Xmas at 11 years old. As it currently stands, I'm estimating maybe 13.
