The millennials, on the other hand, take their name from the fact they came of age at the turn of the new century, so are usually defined as being born in 1982 or later.
This is my biggest issue with this entire thing. I was born in the mid-80s and the gap between my generation and those born even 10 years later is massive. We may have had the Internet and digital age come about at a time when we were in high school and college, but we still grew up with the same basics and values as Gen-X. We look at millennials the same way our parents (and even grandparents to a degree) would, and tend to side with the gen-x crowd on most matters.
It's kind of a "best of both worlds" scenario, where I can recall life before cell phones, Facebook, google, etc and I know how easy we have it now by comparison. There was way less materialism in those times and you could get by and be perfectly happy with a low paying job; and as long as you worked your arse off and were proud of your accomplishments you weren't judged by it. Having a college degree is now more about social factors and the fact that you even have one and not about what you learned towards your trade.

I don't know about that.

Tough shite. You're a millennial, millennial. Own it.
