Boiled crawfish reheat

So I got some crawfish they other day from Rouse's the other day, they weren't terrible but not the greatest. Very gritty & not very juicy. I know reheating crawfish is a no-no (as I would rather just eat them cold too) but they aren't juicy!! I need the juice!!! My experience from reheating in a pot with seasonings and stuff is they come out fishy kind of...but I need the juice!! Is there an expert way to do this??? Thanks!

I'm sure Owlie has some juice he can give you.

Not really. You could make up some water with the seasonings in it and drop them in it until they are hot but they tails will get tough. Best thing to do would be to peel them, wash the tails if they're gritty and then make a pasta, étouffée, pie or other dish that uses crawfish tails.

Didn't think so. That sucks. Good thing they were only $2.79/lb. still wish I could get more juice in there somehow. I honestly don't mind tougher tails. My favorite part is the juice.

Like I said you could bring some water with all the right seasonings to a boil. Cut the heat and put the crawfish in it. Never bring it back to a boil and basically just soak. It will still cook them some, but they should be edible and should add some juice. I would make another dish with them, but if you want traditional crawfish and try to put more juice in them, this would be the best route IMO.

If you don't want to eat them cold, just go buy some fresh hot ones.

This will not help you but my goto way of regeating is to break off the heads and put a steamer basket in a pot and steam the tails for about 3 minutes.
I guess there is no reason to not do the same with the heads
