Recommend a barrel for a Rem 1100 please

I have this 1100 (it's really my dads, but I have it in my possession). I think it's an early 70's gun. It's a 12 gauge with a 22" barrel and a gunsmith threaded it for screw in chokes. Trouble is the thread pattern he used doesn't match any of the manufacturers. I'm debating on buying a new barrel in either 26", 28", or 30". The 30 looks like the least attractive, but I'm not really much of a shotgun guy. This gun will not see heavy use, as I don't use a shotgun much. It would be a general use gun. Informal (very informal) skeet/sporting clays, little duck hunting. Wood ducks. Possibly deer hunting. Maybe squirrels. Hopefully not rabbits, because I don't like the idea of 12 gauge for rabbits. It could possibly get used for any South Louisiana hunting, just not heavy use.

22" was likely a quail gun
I prefer 26" on my guns

22" is really short, I would probably go with 28", look for used. Check on gunbroker, possibly ebay

The barrel actually measures just shy of 23". It's marked "skeet", but since the threading the new choke is something around extra full or turkey choke. I've tried all the popular brands of tubes in it. Looks like the machinist made a custom choke to fit his threads.

Have you tried Rem-Chokes? Not sure they still make them, but I have a 70's era 1100 that was modified this way. I have the three basic chokes tubes. It works well. It started off as a 28" modified. I would go with a 28" barrel.
